CASS 2D/3D SIMULATOR G5
Fully integrated environment for air traffic controllers training for ACC, APP, PAR, TWR simulation in 2D/3D.
CASS 3D
CASS 3D is designed to simulate aircraft and vehicle movement at the airport site including surveillance situation (ACC/APP, TWR control). It uses projectors or large size monitors to create 360° view of the airport situation.
Projectors and LCD displays
Large setup
360° cylindric projection system,circular view
Medium setup
Up to 9-channel large LCDs,circular view
Small setup
3-channel large LCDs,front view
Hardware components
- Large size monitors or projectors
- Simulation Servers
- Controller Working Positions
- Pseudopilot Working Positions

Working positions
CASS simulator includes Controller Working Positions (CWP), Pseudopilot Working Position (PWP) and Exercise Preparation Workstation (EXPW).
Controller Working Positions
ACC/APP/PAR/TWR, Meteo, VCS, Electronic strips.
Pseudopilot Working Position
Shows surveillance situation in 2D for pseudopilots.
Pseudopilots control aircraft by commands filled
in command line.
Exercise Preparation Workstation
Place where user is editing simulation through editors.
Editors
Available as INCA Basic with essential editing features optionally complemented by INCA Profi extensions:
- presimulation
- support of flight database
- import of real flights
- workload
INCA can be used also with simulators of other manufacturers. Eventually can prepare exercise for several different systems in parallel.

Electronic and paper strip editor designed for easy configuration of strips displayed on Flight Data Display (FDD).
Components
CASS simulator is offered with systems that can also be delivered as a separate products
VCS
Based on voice over IP technology. Allows effective interconnection of multiple communication systems including UHF and VHF radios, telephones and intercoms.
ATIS
A fully digital system, capable to cooperate with both digital voice over IP or analog radios inputs as well as with a number of other ATM systems through digital interfaces.
RRS
Records data and replays them on a selected device. In recording and replay all data are fully synchronized and the system is digital only.
CASS Benefits
- Reduce requirements for training center staff. Less pseudopilots are needed to run exercises and instructors are relieved of workload by elimination of nonproductive routines.
- Facilitate collaborative decision making throughout the team.
- Simulate wide range of failures and exceptions, using real-traffic samples or assembled exercises.
- High training efficiency obtained by individualized continuous feedback with automated alarms for risks and errors.
